Scuba Diving:  The SubwayScuba Diving School at The Barceló Riviera Resort & Spa is a PADI 5 Star IDC Centre and incorporates an indoor training pool for beginners. Here you are taught everything you need to know about diving by our professional qualified team. Courses can be held in your own language, books, videos CD-Roms and exams are also available in most languages. We like to make things easy for you.

The philosophy at The SubwayScuba Diving School extends to a real sense of responsibility for the conservation of the undersea world. Throughout courses and dive expeditions our instructors and guides pass on their experience and skills, not only to achieve safety and responsibility that the sport requires, but also to ensure the same for the environment.

The SubwayScuba Diving School offers lessons delivered in most European languages. Courses from beginner to instructor and 15 Specialty courses to choose from. Instructor Development Courses and Instructor Examinations throughout the Year. An in-house Medical Practitioner is available at all times to offer guidance and assistance to all those making use of our facilities.

The Subway Scuba Diving School has a well-stocked retail outlet offering a large variety of the latest equipment from CRESSI SUB, SCUBAPRO, MARES, SPIRO, etc. An Indoor training pool for training is also available as well as showers, changing rooms and lockers.

PADI(Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the largest dive training organisation in the world, therefore all of its courses are recognised throughout the world. Whether you are an absolute beginner or you have trained with another organisation, PADI extends an open arm to welcome you to start or continue your diving education. Cirkewwa ,Selmun and Marfa Malta
Marfa and Selmun are districts of Mellieha and stand on either side of the town. Marfa is the peninsula marking the north-west limits of Malta. It is known for its busy embarkation point at Cirkewwa to the Gozo ferry and the Comino boat. High on top of Marfa ridge is St Agatha's Tower, also known as the Red Tower, erected by the Knights in 1649. The White Tower stands at Ahrax Point. The whole Marfa peninsula was well fortified in colonial days and remains of the defensive walls are a common sight in the area. There are also some good diving sites in this area. Cirkewwa and Marfa face the islands of Comino and Gozo providing some fantastic views from various points. This part of the island is the most abrupt but its coast also boasts the best beaches in Malta with spectacular views of the other islands.

Directions From Airport: follow signs to Gozo and drive along the Salina coast road,past Bahar Ic-Caghaq,Madliena,all the way through Xemxija and Mellieha past Mellieha Bay "Ghadira" up the hill and finally down towards Cirkewwa and Marfa.
